Harry Edward Styles, known within the music world as Harry Styles, is a British musician and singer acknowledged as being one of the band members in the band One Direction. His parents are Des Styles and Anne Cox. His birth date was January 1st 1994 in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School which is where he formed his own music group with 3 classmates. He called White Eskimo. The group was part of the Battle of Bands where thanks to their excellent presentations they took home the trophy. He has always been fascinated by music, despite his interest he was also thinking about becoming a lawyer and an physiotherapist. He worked in a local bakery as a part-time job to help the family with financial issues. Harry Styles auditioned for The X Factor in the year 2010. He performed Is not She Lovely, a Stevie Wonder song. He was selected. The reason for this is that his group ended up splitting. Nicole Scherzinger proposed to Harry Styles to be member of the new group, One Direction. The Other members included Liam Payne Zayn Mallik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in 2010. The group performed hits like My Life Would Suffer Without You from Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the contest. It made them one of the possible winners for the coveted prize. The group was however placed third position behind Rebecca Ferguson, and the winner Matt Cardle. While Harry Styles and his group failed to win the competition, Cowell signed a deal worth 2 million pounds to One Direction to sign with the Syco music label.
