Simone Biles

Simone Biles is an American gymnast. Born March 14, 1997 in Columbus Ohio U.S.A. The 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro she became the first female U.S. gymnast to win four gold medals in a single Games and was also the first gymnast to earn three consecutive all-around world championships (2013-15). Biles was born in Spring Texas, in the Houston metro region. Her sister Adria were adopted by Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles. Simone's fascination with gymnastics started when she was just six years old after a visit with her day care group to Bannon Gymnastix. Simone remained with Aimee Borman's coaching from 2011. Biles was a winner in the vault and floor exercises at the 2010 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships before moving up to the highest level of competition in 2011. In less than two years, she became the top athlete in her field. Biles was notable by her consistent performance, her enthusiastic attitude as well as the amount of challenge she made every event - vault bars that were uneven as well as balance beams and ground exercises.
